You can use the following form fields to design the gate forms for pre-advise data entry. In addition to the fields listed below, you can add the available flex fields for pre-advise gate stages.
Notes
If you want to save the value entered for a field at a gate stage against the gate transaction and the unit, you must include the field in the gate forms for all subsequent gate stages. If you do not want a user to change the value for the field at a subsequent gate stage, you can include the field as hidden or view-only.
Displays a lookup field in the configurable pre-advise form to enable an agent to select their user ID. This allows the agent to pre-advise containers for various lines.
Displays a lookup field of orders (booking, ERO, or rail order) in a pre-advise vessel or rail form.
You must use this field if you want to display a list of all the existing bookings and rail orders and want the user to select the appropriate order number. If you do not want to display a lookup field with the existing orders, you must use the Order Nbr (on page 1) field.
The Booking/Order field list of values displays only the equipment orders for the operating line entered in the Line Operator field on the appointment form.
The Booking/Order lookup field displays the Line Operator and the Vessel Visit ID in parenthesis after the order number to help you identify the correct order when the line operator is not specified and multiple orders with the same number are present.
If you want N4 to fill in the Reefer, Hazard, and OOG details automatically from the booking, you must include the Order Item (on page 1) field in the gate form.
This field replaces the Booking Number, ERO Number, and Rail Order Number fields that were available in N4 prior to version 2.1.

If a user is pre-advising more than one container and successfully pre-advises a container with OOG details, N4 retains the OOG details in the pre-advise form for the next pre-advise.
If existing out of gauge information is filled in, N4 labels the button as Edit OOG, instead of Add OOG, in the pre-advise form.
Displays a text field to specify an equipment order item. If there is only one order item for the selected booking, N4 uses it by default.
For hazardous order items, the Order Item field's list of values display the IMDG class and UN number. This enables you to select the appropriate order item when an order contains more than one hazardous order item.
If you want N4 to fill in the Reefer, Hazard, and OOG details automatically from the booking, you must include this field in the gate form.
Displays a text field for the configurable pre-advise forms for the Receive Empty (RM) and Receive Export (RE) gate transaction types.
You must use this field if you do not want to display a list of all the existing bookings and rail orders and want the user to enter the appropriate order number. To display a lookup field with the existing orders, you must use the Booking/Order (on page 1) field.
You can configure the Order Nbr text field on a pre-advise form to accept the booking number or rail order from a user.
N4 uses the default business task ReadOrder to read the order number from the pre-advise forms and to retrieve all the related data. A default business task is not available in the user interface and is always included in the gate configuration.
The following restrictions apply to the Order Nbr text field:
If a user enters an order number that exists as a rail order and a booking for the same line operator in N4, N4 does not fill in the respective order details in the pre-advise form, automatically.
Since the Order Nbr field accepts rail orders as well as bookings, in the pre-advise vessel form, if a user enters a rail order by mistake, N4 fills in the respective rail order details and saves it, automatically. The same is true if the Order Nbr field is included in a rail pre-advise form.
If you want to apply any restrictions between the rail pre-advise and vessel pre-advise based on the Order Nbr field, you need to use Groovy.
You must include the CreateNewContainer (on page 1) business task to create a pre-advised unit.

If a user selects a booking and order item with reefer details, N4 automatically fills in the reefer details in the Reefer - Add/Edit form.
If a user is pre-advising more than one container in a row and successfully pre-advises a container with reefer details, N4 retains the reefer details in the pre-advise form for the next pre-advise.
If existing out of gauge information is filled in, N4 labels the button as Edit Reefer, instead of Add Reefer, in the pre-advise form.
Displays date and time fields for when to disconnect the advised container from power.

The list of values for the Shipper field displays the shipper(s) and consignee(s) associated with the user's business group.
If there is only shipper or consignee in the list of values, then N4 automatically fills in this value so that the user does not need to select it. But if there is more than one shipper/consignee associated with the user's business group, then N4 does not automatically fill in this field and the user must select the correct value.
